COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - During the February 27-28th Board Meeting the Directors unanimously elected Denise Parker CEO of USA Archery.
"We believe Denise is absolutely the right person to execute the Board's strategy, unite archery and reinvigorate USAA," says board chairman, Bill Corbin. "We had approximately fifty qualified candidates who shared their vision for USAA but, during the last three months, Denise was already ably executing her vision, exciting our members, building relationships with the USOC and re-establishing critical partnerships with valued sponsors. We are pleased that Denise embraced the challenge and, most importantly, with the results obtained."
"I believe we made some progress over the past few months putting together a strategy and securing funding to help execute that plan," explains CEO Parker. "We have much more work to accomplish, including filling a couple of key staffing positions, but I believe we are on our way to rebuilding the organization. I thank the Board for their confidence in me. I am humbled by all the support I have received and am very excited about the future of USA Archery."
A key initiative of Parker's has and will continue to be better communication with the members. In line with this, USAA has launched an updated website that includes a blog from CEO Parker as a means to provide up to date, direct communication to the membership.
Parker will continue working from her home in Pleasant View, Utah. The main office for membership will continue to be located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and the National Head Coach, R.A. Coach and High Performance Manager will be located at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center in California.
