COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Archery, the National Governing Body for the Olympic sport of Archery, has given club leaders good reason to cheer: the organization's event sanctioning is going to a streamlined online process designed to make submitting an event sanction request easier and more convenient.
USA Archery and Star FITA sanctioned tournaments - which follow World Archery and USA Archery rules, have insurance coverage through USA Archery, and allow competitors to set records - may now be submitted for sanctioning through the new online process. Click here for more information.
Obtaining a sanction online is simple, with a clear and easy to follow step-by-step process that is outlined when users login to submit for event sanctioning. The cost to submit a USA Archery event sanction application is $20; the cost to submit a Star FITA event for sanctioning is an additional $50. All USA Archery sanctioned events are listed online at this page; Star FITA events are also listed on World Archery's calendar.
Those who are submitting a sanctioning request online must already be registered USA Archery club leaders in the organization's Membership Management System. State Association leaders who are not also club administrators will complete the new hard copy sanctioning application; USA Archery is working to make the online process available to State Association leaders in the near future as well.
