COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The USA Archery Board of Directors has unanimously voted to accept the Collegiate Task Force's recommendations and launch a college archery program for the 2014-2015 academic years. The program will be called the USA Archery Collegiate Archery Program, and USA Archery will begin taking applications for membership and eligibility beginning October 1, 2014.
The program will add a new discounted USA Archery membership for college students, as well as a new collegiate club membership type and opportunities for competitions within existing and new USA Archery events.
The national tournament circuit will include a collegiate division within the U.S. National Indoor Championships and the USAT Qualifier Series events. USA Archery will also host a stand-alone U.S. National Outdoor Collegiate Championships event May 21-24, 2015, exclusive to those who fall within the eligibility guidelines for the program.
