USA Archery JOAD Award Nominations Sought

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Archery is seeking nominations for the prestigious USA Archery Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Award (formerly known as the National Archery Association JOAD Award).

Established in 1985, the USA Archery Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Award is designed to recognize those individuals who have been instrumental in the promotion of the JOAD program.

George Helwig was the inaugural recipient of this lifetime honor. According to the Archery Hall of Fame, Mr. Helwig founded the JOAD Program for youth archers in 1960, and later participated in three Olympic Games as a coach and judge. Mr. Helwig served the sport of archery for over 60 years.

If you know someone who is deserving of this award, please complete this nomination form and submit it to [email protected] by May 31.

USA Archery's JOAD Committee will review all nominations, and USA Archery will announce the recipient of the award during the Welcome Reception at this year's U.S. National Target Championships, U.S. Open and Easton JOAD Nationals ("Outdoor Nationals").
