442 archers from 40 clubs throughout the country submitted individual scores, and 27 teams also participated. The USA Archery Mail-In Tournament Series offers new and experienced youth and adult archers the opportunity to participate in a national competition without ever leaving their home archery range, and at a very low cost.
The Mail-In Tournament was an indoor event for the first quarter, and is open to archers who are members of Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD), Collegiate Archery Program, and Adult Archery Program Clubs.
In addition to giving archers the chance to see how their scores compare to other shooters across the country, the Mail-In Tournament also emphasizes teamwork among club members.
To enter this quarter's Club Spirit Award, clubs had to demonstrate participation in a "Showing Love for Archery"-themed event for the Mail-In Tournament, and send their photos to USA Archery. Showing Love for archery themes included creative Valentine's Day ideas, or passion for the sport.
Six clubs participated in this fun event, and USA Archery congratulates Golden Arrow Archers for wining the Club Spirit Award! They will receive a prize pack consisting of a Steps of Shooting poster and a package of assorted target faces. This prize pack is valued at over $100.
The 2nd Quarter Mail-In Tournament for 2015 will be an Outdoor event, with individual and team categories, as well as a Club Spirit award focused on a Summer Beach theme. Click here to learn more and enter today!
