COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - Following a recent USA Archery Board of Directors meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah and a Barebow survey that was reviewed by the Barebow Taskforce, USA Archery confirmed a change to the Barebow competition distance for Senior and Master classes.
The survey and its results can be found in full here. In reflection of these survey results and recommendations made by the Barebow Taskforce, the USA Archery Board of Directors voted to change the Senior and Master Barebow distance for outdoor target events from 60m to 50m.
Cadet, Junior and Collegiate classes will continue to compete at 50 m. This change will not affect the 2016 U.S. National Outdoor Target Championships, however, will go into effect for the 2017 U.S. National Outdoor Target Championships.
