Colorado Springs, CO - USA Archery's Board of Directors has approved the organization's Team Staff nominations for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
National Head Coach KiSik Lee (CA) and Level 5-NTS Coach Mel Nichols (AZ) have been nominated as the coaches for the U.S. Olympic Team for Archery. They will work with Team Leader Cindy Bevilacqua (PA) to support the athletes who are nominated to the team for London.
For the Paralympic Games, it will be Para Archery Head Coach Randi Smith who has been nominated as both the Head Coach and Team Leader for London. Smith will be joined by Assistant Coach Paul Miller.
"We are excited to have such a high caliber of coaching and team support nominated for London," notes Denise Parker, USA Archery CEO. "All of these individuals have demonstrated their passion for supporting the athletes as they pursue excellence, and we are pleased to have them join our teams."
Team staff and athlete nominations to the U.S. Olympic delegation are subject to the approval of the U.S. Olympic Committee. Archery events at the Olympic Games begin July 27, and run through August 3, while the Paralympic Archery events will take place August 30-September 5.
All sport events in the 2012 Olympic Games, including Archery, will be live-streamed in real time on http://www.nbcolympics.com, which will offer viewers HD-quality replays and DVR capabilities. USA Archery will also provide full coverage via Twitter, Facebook and at http://www.usarchery.org.
