COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Are you a compound archer, and thinking about trying out for the new Compound Junior Dream Team (JDT)? You're in luck: the first-ever Compound JDT Selection Camp has been announced for November 18-23 in Chula Vista, California.
Archers who attend the camp will focus on shooting, with time spent on technique, training, equipment, sports psychology and physical fitness. The coaches who will work with attending athletes are Linda Beck, Larry Wise, John Fleury and Jim Pruitte.
This camp will be held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, and archers may choose to stay onsite in dormitory housing or offsite at a hotel of their choice. The cost is $470 for archers who stay onsite, including room and board, meals, facility access, and coaching.
For archers staying offsite, the cost is $300, and includes meals, facility access and coaching; offsite archers are responsible for their transportation to and from the Olympic Training Center each day.
All athletes attending the Selection Camp are responsible for their own transportation to and from Chula Vista.
