DUBLIN, Ohio - Following the huge success of the inaugural Buckeye Classic in 2016, Dublin, OH will host the 134th U.S. National Target Championships and U.S. Open, and the second biennial Buckeye Classic this August. USA Archery is thrilled to return to this perfect competition field and bring the fun and excitement of Outdoor Nationals!
The competition will be held August 8-11. New this year - archers will qualify over two morning sessions and the afternoon sessions will feature (optional) mixed team and team elimination matches! As USA continues to be a dominant force internationally, much of our strength comes from success in team competition, so USA Archery is increasing opportunity to practice this fun competition style on the national stage.
The U.S. Open will feature elimination matches for all categories. The gold medal matches for all senior categories will be contested in a special U.S. Open Finals on Saturday evening. By popular demand, that means that senior barebow men and women will join recurve and compound archers in this arena showdown for gold!
USA Archery is greatly looking forward to this week of intense competition and will kick things off with a Welcome Reception on the evening of August 8th - more details coming soon. The USA Archery Annual Meeting will also be held on August 9th.
