Colorado Springs, CO - Mary Emmons, formerly the Archery Education Specialist and a Grant Coordinator for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, has been hired as USA Archery's Outreach Director.
In her new role, Emmons will lead USA Archery's outreach efforts that include coordination, communication and program/product sales to camps, 4-H, Park and Recreation programs, Boy Scouts and state agencies. The Outreach Director position will support and promote USA Archery grassroots programs, including Junior Olympic Archery Development, After School Archery Program, Adult Archery Achievement and instructor level certification.

Emmons, who has managed statewide initiatives such as Michigan's National Archery in the Schools and Explore Bowhunting programs, comes to her position with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Sport Management and a Master of Science in Park, Recreation and Tourism Resources.
A Certified Park and Recreation Professional, Emmons is also a Hunter Education Instructor and Basic Archery Instructor Trainer Specialist, and serves on the National Archery in Schools Program Board of Directors, as well as the MSU Demmer Center Advisory Committee, and the AFWA's Hunting and Shooting Sports Participation Committee.

Emmons is expected to join USA Archery in her new role beginning April 16.
