What can the athletes expect for the remainder of 2009?
2010 USAT and Jr. USAT Requirements - the requirements for the 2010 USAT and Jr. USAT teams are posted on the website so you can plan your travel year accordingly.
2009 Rolling Ranking System - The rolling ranking system will remain in place for the 2009 year; however, the newly elected Athletes Advisory Council will be reviewing the concept of a single ranking system that could replace the USAT and Rolling Ranking rankings. There is still much discussion to be had and even if a plan had support, the earliest it would be implemented would be in the 2010 tournament schedule. If support for a system emerges from the Athletes Advisory Council and was supported by the USOC, we will post it online for athletes to review and accept feedback before finalizing or implementing. The 2009 Rolling Ranking Events include:
Training Camps - We are expecting to have a Jr. USAT camp in Chula Vista as well as a preparation camp for the members of the Outdoor World Championship team.

Outdoor World Championship Team Camp: Dates blocked at OTC: August 10-16 (Duration of Camp Pending), Chula Vista OTC

World Cup (Stage 2) - Porec (CRO) May 4-9
Deadline to let Chris McCartney in the office know you are attending: March 25, 2009
World Cup (Stage 3) - Antalya (TUR) June 2-7
Deadline to let Chris McCartney in the office know you are attending: April 12, 2009
World Cup (Stage 4) - Shanghai (CHN) August 4-9
Deadline to let Chris McCartney in the office know you are attending: June 15, 2009
Qualification Procedures: Top 4 athletes from Rolling Ranking - Go down the RR list until slots are filled. (4 Compound Men, 4 Compound Women, 4 Recurve Men, 4 Recurve Women) - You need to let Chris McCartney know in the office if you would like to attend these events prior to the stated deadlines above.

Venezuela COPARCO Event for Jr. USAT - Valencia (VEN) June 20-27
Qualification Procedures: Top 4 athletes from 2009 Jr. USAT Rankings (Go down the list until we fill all 16 slots available. (4 Junior Compound Men, 4 Junior Compound Women, 4 Junior Recurve Men, 4 Junior Recurve Women). Please contact Chris McCartney at the office as soon as possible if you are in the top four Jr. USAT positions and desire to attend this event.
Funding: First two slots are fully funded in each division. Third and fourth slots will be provided $650 toward their travel costs. Additional expenses are their own responsibility.

Youth World Championships - Ogden, UT (USA) July 11-19
Qualification Procedures: Trials Event - SI Cup Carbondale, IL May 1-3
Funding: Fully Funded

Outdoor World Championships - Ulsan (KOR) September 1-9
Qualification Procedures: Trials Event - Conyers, GA May 27-31
Funding: Fully Funded
Staff: 4 Staff (Names TBD)
Recurve Athlete Funding (USOC) - The USOC has approved $69,200 Direct Athlete Support for 2009. This funding will go to the top male and female recurve archers. The exact allocation has not yet been determined. This should be in place by April 15th.
Operation Gold Funding is in effect for the Outdoor World Championships

2nd Place: $4,000
3rd Place: $3,500
4th Place: $3,000
5th and 6th Places: $2,500
7th and 8th Places: $2,000 (Individual Event Only)
