COLORADO SPRINGS -- USA Archery is pleased to announce that the Collegiate Target Nationals are headed to Statesboro, GA May 18-21, 2023. Georgia Southern University is hosting the event, which attracts hundreds of top collegiate athletes from across the country.
“The Shooting Sports Education Center (SSEC) at Georgia Southern University is honored to serve as host to the country’s elite collegiate archers and their supporters during the 2023 USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals,” said Matt Horst, SSEC Director. “As one of the premier hubs in southeast Georgia for the continued development of the shooting sports for all ages, hosting this event allows us to introduce more people to our unique facility and further our goal of being an educational resource for the region, state and now, country. We look forward to working with our committed partners and community members to welcome USA Archery and its competitors next May.”
The Nationals features competition across the recurve, compound, barebow, and fixed pins divisions. The event includes individual qualification round and elimination matches alongside the popular - and spirited - mixed team and team events. The Championship event highlights USA Archery’s grassroots initiatives to grow the sport and develop competitive archers.
The top collegiate archers in the nation will be presented medals in all events. USA Archery will also present the prestigious National Team Championship, All-American Team, All-Around Archer of the Year, and Coach of the Year awards.
