2011 National Indoor Championships and JOAD National Indoor Championships Announced

USA Archery announced today that beginning on February 25, 2011, the U.S. National Indoor Championships will be conducted over three weekends at nine locations, giving everyone an opportunity to compete at this popular national event. In addition, the 2011 JOAD National Indoor Championships will take place during the same weekends at each location. JOAD archers may choose to participate in either or both events, and must complete a separate registration and submit the appropriate fee for each event.

The U.S. National Indoor Championships consist of a double indoor 18-meter round, for a total of 120 arrows shot over two days. The National Indoor Champions will be the archers with the highest cumulative score in each class and division. Please check with the local event contact for competition schedules.

The JOAD National Indoor Championships are a single 18 meter, 60-arrow JOAD round.  JOAD National Indoor Champions are the archers in each JOAD age group (by class and division) with the highest score for the JOAD round.
 
On February 25-27, archers may participate in the south, east and west regions, with Nationals taking place in Georgia, Massachusetts, California, New Mexico and Oklahoma. During the following weekend, March 4-6, the event will be conducted in the north and south regions: Michigan, Kansas and Texas. The final indoor event for archers to compete will be March 11-13 in Virginia.
