USA Archery and the Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) present the

                          28th Annual  J.O.A.D. National Outdoor Championship

    July 2-5, 2009

          Downingtown, Pennsylvania 

Hosted by the Middletown Archery Club & JOAD Team

This tournament selects the JOAD National Outdoor Champion and is mandatory for Jr. USAT ranking.   The Olympic Round is an Open competition.  We encourage you to share information from this registration packet with your fellow archers.

Registration Information:

Individuals, All Divisions:     

$100 U.S. if postmarked by May 30, 2009

$125 U.S. if postmarked after May 30, 2009

Cancellations and refunds accepted thru June 12, 2009

A 25% service charge will be retained on all refunds.

A separate registration form is required for each participant. 

Event Format & Awards

Divisions:       

Junior, Cadet, Cub & Bowman (No Archer or Yeoman Classifications)

We will be evaluating adding the class of Barebow. Look for updates on the web site.

Events:            

JOAD/FITA Ranking Outdoor Round

Olympic Round:        

Junior Male/Female     70 meters

Cadet Male/Female     60 meters                                            

Cub Male/Female        50 meters

The Bowman class will take part in a novelty round in lieu of the Olympic Round. (Wand Shoot)      

Standings:       Archers will compete in both the JOAD/FITA and Olympic Round (OR) or Novelty round.  The JOAD Champion is based on final placement in JOAD/FITA Round.  Olympic Round seeding is based on the JOAD/FITA Ranking Round.  All ties will be broken via FITA rules.  Junior USAT ranking points are based on current USA Archery rules.

Awards:          Gold, Silver, and Bronze will be awarded to the JOAD Champion in Junior, Cadet, Cub, and Bowman divisions.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze will be awarded for the OR in Junior, Cadet, Cub divisions.

Special Awards for Bowman Wand Novelty round.  

JOAD Championship and Olympic Round awards will be presented after the completion of each OR event on the field Sunday. Wand Novelty Round Awards will be presented after the completion on the field Sunday.

Eligibility

JOAD National Championship competitors must be a member of a JOAD Club AND be a USA Archery (NAA) member too.  Please bring USA Archery membership card to present when checking in at tournament, or be prepared to purchase a USA Archery membership at check in time.  NFAA membership is not applicable.
